Buy a domain
Find a name that is free to register, check what it costs this year and every year after, and pay by card or Pix.
You’ll need: Account owner, or a team member whose Domains permission is not set to None.
A domain bought here is registered in your name and set up for you: its DNS, its security certificate (the padlock in the browser), and a one-click connection to your Tayon website, forms and email. You never copy a record.
Domains
#Find a name
- Open Domains in the main menu and choose Buy a domain.
- Pick how you want to search:
- Search a name — type the name you want, with or without the ending (.com, .co…), and choose Search.
- Suggest names with AI — enter your Business name and, optionally, what your business does and where. Choose Suggest names and wait while Tayon finds names that are free to register.
- Choose Choose next to the name you want.
12- Search a name / Suggest names with AI
- What it costs after the first year
The list only ever shows names that are free to register right now. If the exact name you typed is taken, Tayon says is already taken and lists the available alternatives. If it is one of the endings Tayon does not sell, you can still connect it if you already own it.
#Read the price before you choose
Each name shows the first year price on the right, and underneath it what happens next:
- Renews at … /year — what every following year costs.
- First-year price. Renews at … /year — the first year is on offer and later years cost more. Check the renewal figure; that is the price you will keep paying.
- 2-year minimum: … today (or more years) — some endings cannot be registered for a single year. You pay the whole minimum term today.
Prices are shown in your account’s currency.
#Enter the owner’s details
The next screen, Confirm your domain, repeats the name, the term and the renewal price, then asks for the Domain owner. That is the person or company the domain is legally registered to.
- Fill in the name, Email, Phone, address, City, State / region, Postal code and Country. Company (optional) can stay empty for a person. For the United States and Canada, use the two-letter state code.
- Leave Renew automatically every year, so I never lose the domain ticked unless you want to renew by hand.
- Tick the box to accept the domain registration agreement.
- Choose Pay, followed by the amount.
Tayon fills these fields from your last domain order, or from your account, so your second purchase is quicker.
#Pay
You pay on a secure payment page:
- Card — available everywhere. The card is kept for automatic renewals.
- Pix — offered alongside card when your account pays in Brazilian reais. Because Pix cannot be charged again later, a domain paid by Pix is renewed with a payment link instead.
If you leave the payment page, nothing is charged and you can start again.
#What happens after you pay
You come back to Domains with a banner saying the domain is yours. The domain’s status then moves on by itself:
- Awaiting payment — a Pix payment has not arrived yet.
- Registering… — paid; the registry is registering the name.
- Setting up… — registered; DNS and the certificate are being prepared.
- Active — ready to use.
It usually takes a few minutes. You can close the page; the status keeps updating.
If the registry refuses the registration — for example, someone registered the same name a moment before you — you are refunded automatically.
#Use the new domain
Once the domain is Active:
- Websites, conversational forms, chat links and landing pages — when you
connect a domain to one of them, a box Use a domain you have on Tayon
appears. Pick the domain, type a subdomain such as
form(or leave it empty for the domain itself) and choose Connect. It goes live in a few minutes. See Publish your website. - Email — create a mailbox on the domain and its email records are written for you. See Set up email on your own domain.
- Anything else — add records yourself in Manage DNS.
Your free account address keeps working alongside it.
#If something goes wrong
- Too many searches in the last hour — wait a while and search again.
- Someone registered this name a moment ago — go back and choose another.
- The status reads Needs attention — setup did not finish. If the registry refused the name, your payment has already been refunded. Otherwise the name is registered to you and needs a person to finish it: contact support.
